About the role
The General Hospital Corporation Mass General Brigham seeks Patient Care Associates (PCAs) to support the multidisciplinary healthcare team in providing safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care. A $750 sign-on bonus is available to eligible new employees.
Responsibilities
- Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intake, and output measurements accurately and within established timeframes and/or as requested
- Completes all required documentation in the medical record
- Interacts effectively with patients and families
- Affords assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
- Affords assistance with turning, repositioning, and transferring between bed and wheelchair as needed
- Llistens to patient concerns and reports changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly
Requirements
- Experience working in patient care/elder care is preferred (0-1 years)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification) preferred
- Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (Massachusetts) preferred
- Nursing Assistant (LNA – Massachusetts) preferred
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Skills
- Understanding and following written and verbal instructions
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong patient/customer service skills
- Ability to lift to 35 pounds
- Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate electronic medical records efficiently

Pay
Base pay range: $20.58 - $26.58/Hourly Grade 3
Schedule
Schedule options: Days (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), Evenings (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM), Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM / 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), Rotating weekend shifts every month, Rotating holiday schedule.
