Patient Care Assistant

About the role
Provides quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Works within the guidelines of established practice for the Patient Care Assistant at Hunterdon Medical Center. Supports the mission, philosophy, and objectives of Hunterdon Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Assistance with total patient care under the direction of the RN
- Promotes Patient Safety
- Promotes and supports an organized work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- State Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification OR non-certified nursing assistant with acute care hospital experience required
- CPR certification is required
- Crisis Prevention (CPI) training is required, and must be renewed annually. If not certified upon hire, must obtain certification within 6 months (course provided at Hunterdon)
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred: additional relevant education)
- Minimum Years of Experience: One year acute care nursing assistant experience
- Knowledge of basic patient care equipment, wheelchairs, and stretchers
- Good interpersonal and communication skills

Pay
Hiring range: $21.53 - $26.91 hourly. The final hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as years of relevant experience, education, internal equity, and specialty.
Schedule
Full-time, Sun-Sat, Days/Evenings & Weekends.
