About the role
Provides quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Works within the guidelines of established practice for the Patient Care Assistant at HMC. Supports the mission, philosophy, and objectives of Hunterdon Medical Center.
Work Contact Group: HMC employees, Providers, Patients and Family, Visitors & Vendors.
Reporting Relationships: Reports To (position): Nurse Director.
Responsibilities
- Assistance with total patient care under the direction of the RN
- Promotes Patient Safety
- Promotes and supports an organized work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferred: One year acute care nursing assistant experience.
- Required: State Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification OR non-certified nursing assistant with acute care hospital experience.
- CPR certification is required.
- Crisis Prevention (CPI) training is required, and must be renewed annually. If not certified upon hire, must obtain certification within 6 months. CPI Course will be provided at Hunterdon.
- Required knowledge, skills and/or abilities: Normal knowledge of basic patient care equipment, wheelchairs, and stretchers. Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Hiring Range: $21.53 - $26.91 Hourly
