Patient Care Assistant - 2 South Med Surg

About the role

The Patient Care Assistant works in a supporting role to nursing by conducting patient care activities. Primarily this includes but is not limited to performing duties such as cleaning, taking vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, charting, escorting patients, assisting with activities of daily living, managing clerical duties and ordering and receiving supplies.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient care activities under nursing or medical supervision.
• Performs duties such as cleaning, taking vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, charting, escorting patients, assisting with activities of daily living, managing clerical duties and ordering and receiving supplies.

Requirements

• Must provide proof of required degrees, certificates and/or certifications at the time of the interview.
• Candidates unwilling or unable to provide said documentation will not be considered.
• To be considered, candidates must provide documentation of an 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam, and proof of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification.
