Patient Care Assistant - Med Surg

Role Overview: The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) supports nursing staff by performing delegated direct and indirect patient care tasks within legal limits, under RN supervision. This role is ideal for individuals with CNA experience. Responsibilities Assist with patient care activities to promote patient well-being.Carry out delegated skills within scope of practice, supporting nursing functions. Qualifications Must be 18 years or older.High school diploma/GED or 12 college credits; Nursing Assistant training preferred.Ability to adapt to unpredictable patient care situations.Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross; if not, certification provided during orientation. Key Skills: Compassion, adaptability, teamwork, and compliance with certification requirements. Additional Details: This is a full-time, nonexempt position with hourly wages ranging from $20.00 to $27.33.
