About the role
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a casual Patient Care Assistant to work with our team in the 2 North West Neurosurgery Department.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care activities in a supporting role to nursing
- Provide direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under nursing or medical supervision
- Clean patient areas and equipment
- Take vital signs
- Obtain lab specimens
- Chart patient information
- Escort patients
- Assist with activities of daily living
- Manage clerical duties
- Order and receive supplies
Qualifications
- Documentation of an 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam required
