About the role
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a casual Patient Care Assistant to work with our team in the 2 North Orthopedics Department. The Patient Care Assistant works in a supporting role to nursing by conducting patient care activities. Applicants provide direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under nursing or medical supervision.
Responsibilities
- Performing duties such as cleaning
- Taking vital signs
- Obtaining lab specimens
- Charting
- Escorting patients
- Assisting with activities of daily living
- Managing clerical duties
- Ordering and receiving supplies
Qualifications
Candidates must provide documentation of an 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam.
