About the Role

A Visiting Angels Patient Care Aide - PCA helps elderly and home-care clients maintain independence and dignity while providing a range of support services.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications
• Helping clients with shopping and meal preparation
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation
• Acting quickly in medical emergencies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent time-management skills
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response
• A heart for vulnerable people
• Comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
