Patient Care Aide - PCA

Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate, experienced caregivers to join our team of Angels. We provide non-medical in-home care for seniors and disabled individuals so they can remain in their homes.

About the Role

Visiting Angels works hard to match a Patient Care Aide - PCA with clients who are compatible with their skill level and personality, and we schedule our caregivers for as many or as few hours as they desire.

Responsibilities

• Provide simple companionship and personal care to seniors and disabled individuals
• Assist with more complex care needs for those living with chronic disease, stroke, or recovering from surgery
• Work flexible schedules including 8-hour and 10-hour shifts
• Receive shift bonuses for fill-in work
• Work with clients who are compatible with their skill level and personality
• Offer shift bonuses for fill-in work

Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience in-home care (professional or private)
• Able to work legally in the US and be at least 18 years old
• Must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 with a valid shot record
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean DMV record
• Must be able to use a smartphone for electronic visit verification (EVV) and caregiver notes
• Must pass extensive background checks, including Live Scan fingerprinting
• Must have a negative TB screening within the last 90 days
• Must be registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry
• Must be compassionate, understanding, flexible, and have a true desire to help others
