Patient Benefit Rep (PBR)
- Verify patient insurance coverage
- Review insurance cards
- Confirm insurance is active/effective
- Verify required authorizations are attached to medications/treatments
- Check outstanding patient balances
- Work schedules approximately 2 days in advance
Patient & Call Volume
- Typically sees 5–10 patients per day per representative
- Minimal outbound calling
- Few inbound calls
- Approximately 5–7 phone conversations per day
Front Desk Responsibilities
