Patient Ambassador, PRN

About the Role

The Patient Ambassador provides patient-focused support services within a multidisciplinary scope, including food and nutrition services, linen, laundry services, housekeeping, and supply management. At applicable locations, the Patient Ambassador operates TUG robots for the delivery and exchange of supplies and patient meals to the nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and exchange supplies and patient meals to nursing units, including operating TUG robots where applicable.
• Perform duties in food and nutrition services, linen, laundry services, housekeeping, and supply management.
• Carry out responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.

Requirements

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Interest in learning new skills and growing your role within the department.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Additional languages.

Certifications

• Food Handlers certification (Jefferson locations: required within 90 days of hire).
