Patient Ambassador, PRN

About the Role

The Patient Ambassador provides patient-focused support services within a multidisciplinary scope, including food and nutrition services, linen, laundry services, housekeeping, and supply management. At applicable locations, the Patient Ambassador operates TUG robots for the delivery and exchange of supplies and patient meals to the nursing units.

Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Support patient food and nutrition services.
• Manage linen, laundry services, and housekeeping tasks.
• Handle supply management and distribution.
• Operate TUG robots for delivery and exchange of supplies and patient meals (where applicable).

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Interest in learning new skills and growing within the department.
• Food Handlers certification (Jefferson locations: within 90 days of hire).

Qualifications

• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Additional languages.
