Patient Ambassador, PRN

About the Role

The Patient Ambassador provides patient-focused support services within a multidisciplinary scope, including food and nutrition services, linen, laundry services, housekeeping, and supply management. At applicable locations, the Patient Ambassador operates TUG robots for the delivery and exchange of supplies and patient meals to the nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and exchange supplies and patient meals to nursing units.
• Operate TUG robots for supply and meal delivery (where applicable).
• Support food and nutrition services, linen, laundry, housekeeping, and supply management.
• Perform duties in alignment with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.

Requirements

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Interest in learning new skills and growing within the role.
• Food Handlers certification (Jefferson locations: required within 90 days of hire).

Qualifications

• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Proficiency in additional languages.
