Patient Ambassador - Part-Time - Mercy Hospital Jefferson

About the role

The Patient Ambassador provides patient-focused support services within a multidisciplinary scope, including food and nutrition services, linen, laundry services, housekeeping, and supply management. At applicable locations, the Patient Ambassador operates TUG robots for the delivery and exchange of supplies and patient meals to the nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused support services in food and nutrition, linen, laundry, housekeeping, and supply management.
• Operate TUG robots for delivery and exchange of supplies and patient meals to nursing units (where applicable).
• Perform duties in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred).
• Food Handlers certification within 90 days of hire.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Interest in learning new skills and growing within the role.

Schedule

Part-Time (16 hours bi-weekly) with rotating weekends and holidays.
