About the role

Patient Aid at Metro Specialty Surgery Center Provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment. Assists during patient examinations and procedures. Obtains and records patient vital signs, provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical and/or procedural services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care by assisting with changing linens, ambulation, and transport.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly patient care environment.
  • Absorb and assist during patient examinations and procedures.
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs, provide nutritional intake, and report results and observations.
  • Demonstrate the goal of providing services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current CPR or BLS certification.
  • CNA, MA, or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrate necessary clinical competency.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.
