Duties And Responsibilities
- Greet and build rapport with patients as they enter into the dental practice.
- Answering phone calls in a timely manner.
- Verifying patients’ appointments through email, text and phone calls through open dental.
- Making proactive phone calls to schedule appointments off the ASAP list.
- Responsible for checking in all patients for their appointments.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating patients' profiles within open dental as needed prior to the appointment.
- Ensures that the patient's dental insurance is verified prior to the appointment.
- Responsible for collecting patient fees and copays prior to the appointment.
- Ensures that the patient understands their treatment plan and payment options.
- Provides patients with quotes on dental procedures.
- Ensures that the patient is checked out and is offered a follow up appointment.
- Ensures that the reception and front desk areas are always clean and sterilized.
- Updates the office manager for ordering office supply needs as needed.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- Must be able to provide a high level of customer service.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous Experience Working In The Dental Field Is Preferred.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a face paced environment.
- Must follow HIPAA Compliance.
- Must be well organized and have excellent computer skills.
- Must be able to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
