Patient Admissions Coordinator - Patient Access
About the role
This position is Per Diem and will work -hour, Evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Handle patient admissions and registrations.
- Manage third-party payors and registrar functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED.
- California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.
- 1 year of experience in customer service or healthcare registration.
- A track record in organizing and planning.
Qualifications
- Coursework/Training: Some college level coursework, particularly Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant coursework.
- Upon hire: Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS).
- Registrar and third-party payor experience.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
