About the role

One Revenue Cycle (ORC) is the name adopted to reflect the Providence employees who work throughout Providence Health & Services (PH&S) in revenue cycle systems and structures in support of our ministries and operations in all regions from Alaska to California. ORC's objective is to ensure our core strategy, One Ministry Committed to Excellence, is delivered along with the enhanced overall patient care experience (know me, care for me, ease my way) by providing a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized revenue cycle expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service and healthcare registration.
  • Support third party payors and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • 1 year experience in customer service or healthcare registration.
  • Coursework/Training: Some college level course work preferred particularly Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant coursework.
  • Upon hire: Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS).
  • Previous registrar and third party payor experience.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include 1 year experience in customer service or healthcare registration, some college level course work preferred particularly Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant coursework, and previous registrar and third party payor experience. Preference may be given to candidates who have obtained the Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) certification.

Skills

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with revenue cycle software is beneficial.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

This position is part-time and works evenings.
