Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and families at the start of their care journey
  • Processing patient admissions and discharges efficiently
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
  • Managing insurance claims and eligibility verification
  • Providing excellent customer service in a high-stress environment
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to patient access and business office operations

Requirements

  • Average of 3 years of experience in Patient Access or Business Office setting
  • Experience with insurance eligibility systems
  • Knowledge of medical billing codes
  • Knowledge of Epic applications

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in healthcare or business administration
  • National Certification of CHAA preferred

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in medical terminology
  • Knowledge of medical billing codes
  • Experience with Epic applications

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Part-time/Day Shift - Thursday, Friday and Every Other Weekend from 6:30am-5pm
