About the role
The Assistant Manager, Patient Accounting will oversee the review, investigation, and resolution of accounts in Accounts Receivables. They will also supervise Billers and Collectors, track key performance indicators, address ongoing training needs, and focus on process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Review, investigate, and resolve accounts in Accounts Receivables
- Supervise Billers and Collectors
- Contribute to tracking key performance indicators
- Identify and address ongoing training needs
- Work with a focus on process improvement
- Utilize multiple computer systems daily
- Manage a variety of billing and collection activities
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1-year supervisory experience in hospital business office or revenue cycle required, 3 years preferred
- At least 2 years’ experience in hospital business office experience required
- CPAR certification preferred
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software
- Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills
- Must be able to meet strict deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to remain calm in difficult situations
- Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance
- Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
