Patient Access Training Specialist - Guest Registration
About the role
The Guest Registration department at Hawai'i Pacific Health facilitates efficient and helpful registration service for patients. This includes obtaining patient personal, financial and insurance information, coordinating bed assignments, and completing preliminary authorization and verification.
Responsibilities
- Provide educational support to the Guest Registration department to enhance their administrative and fiscal management excellence.
- Train entry-level staff on programs associated with Revenue Cycle related front-end functions such as scheduling, registration, charge capture, and payment posting.
- Ensure adherence to process, policies, procedures, and systems (such as EPIC).
Requirements
- Achieved Associate Degree in Business Administration/Business systems, Instructional/Curriculum Design, Management, or related field.
- At least two (2) years of experience in patient access, clinic administration, revenue cycle, or training.
- Previous experience and knowledge in needs analysis, instructional design, and development, as well as adult learning principles.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of EPIC Enterprise Suite system applications, including Cadence, Prelude, and Resolute.
- Understanding of patient accounting processes: registration, charge capture, billing, collections, etc.
Skills
