As a Patient Access Surgical Scheduler, you'll play a crucial role in managing schedules to maximize productivity and accuracy, while also providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments following company protocols and provider schedule templates.
- Follow quality procedures including schedule accuracy, documentation, and quality assurance program guides.
- Meet department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including quality, average handle time, unavailable time, abandonment percentages, scheduled appointments, and turnaround times.
- Collaborate with Patient Access Leadership for professional development and skill enhancement.
- Ensure high levels of customer service are provided by patient access staff to patients and colleagues.
- Work on special projects and perform other related duties as needed.
- Maintain accurate and professional documentation with patient medical records.
- Become knowledgeable about dermatology and cosmetic procedures, and accurately schedule according to clinician preferences.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED/HSED, or equivalent.
- Successful completion and ongoing professional development annually.
- Minimum post-high school education in medical support fields: Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse.
- Experience with dermatology and cosmetic procedures preferred.
- Derm tech completion required within 30 days of employment.
- 2+ years of recent medical office experience in a similar capacity is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience required.
- Proficient in basic computer functions and able to learn new software effectively.
- Ability to act with sense of urgency.
- Previous electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute (wpm).
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well individually and as part of a team.

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $19.75 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education, certification, or training.
