Patient Access Specialist 1- Fruitland-Flex - 156314

At St. Luke’s, our dedicated team of Patient Access Specialists strive to build a positive, supportive, and inclusive culture that delivers exceptional patient experiences. This customer service position is often the first person a patient encounters when entering the St. Luke’s Fruitland Hospital. This important role supports exceptional interactions to ensure professional, timely, and accurate written and verbal communication with both patients and caregivers (both in person and by phone).

Schedule

• Sundays 11:00am–11:30pm
• Possible every other Saturday 11:00am–6:00pm
• Flexible coverage required for evenings, weekends, graveyards, and holidays

Flex role: Employees work between 8 to 32 hours per pay period (every two weeks). Hours and schedules are made in advance based on employee availability and department needs. Shifts and hours vary weekly. Ideal candidates are available days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Flex positions are not benefits eligible.

Responsibilities

• Registration, scheduling, and referral coordination for patients
• Discussions on financial options and explanations of insurance coverage, including authorizations, verifications, and estimates
• Use a variety of technologies, tools, and resources to support departmental workflows
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
