Patient Access Services Representative

About the role

This role involves performing comprehensive verification of all health insurance coverage, ensuring accuracy of insurance and financial demographic information from discharge planners and outside referrals.

Responsibilities

• Verifying insurance details, including primary payor data, and updating nurses on any changes.
• Providing information on insurance coverage and patient financial responsibilities to discharge planners.
• Completing insurance verification forms and entering verified data into the computer system.
• Acting as a liaison between verification processes and reimbursement functions.
• Performing related duties as necessary, with all responsibilities considered essential functions under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Communication skills.
• Familiarity with insurance verification processes.
