Responsibilities
- Obtains accurate patient identification for walk-in arrivals, at bedside and/or at designated desk.
- Explains Condition of Admission to patients.
- Collects Cash, Check or Credit Card Payments and maintains cash drawer.
- Verifies/notifies insurance company by phone, fax, or website.
- Maintains work queues; notes encounters in EHR for follow up.
- Schedules and transcribes patient appointments and procedures.
- Conducts interviews with patient family members and/or insurance to answer questions or explain hospital policies.
- Completes all financial assistance process on all self-pay, under-insured, or uninsured patients.
Requirements
Required: 1+ years related experience.
Qualifications
Essential: HS Diploma/GED.
