Responsibilities
- Patient Service: Courteously advises patients of collection and billing procedures, ensures understanding of their liability, and addresses questions and concerns.
- Customer Service: Welcomes patients courteously, maintains a low complaint rate, and facilitates access to patient rights and Advance Directives.
- Registration: Accurately registers patients in Epic, manages patient flow, and arranges payment plans.
- Documentation: Documents patient referrals accurately, schedules and reschedules appointments, and processes patient files.
- Clerical Duties: Completes various clerical tasks efficiently, maintains secure cash management, and reconciles daily cash funds.
- Payor Regulations: Researches and resolves claim edits and denials, and maintains a comprehensive understanding of health plan details.
- Other Duties: Acts as a backup, supports clinic initiatives, and provides training as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: 6 months in a customer service/front desk role or a graduate of a front office/medical office program.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Skills: Professional demeanor, excellent customer service skills, multitasking ability, critical thinking, computer literacy, and proficiency in Epic.
