Pay
- Patient Access Rep 1: $18.65–$25.64 per hour, depending on experience
- Patient Access Rep 2: $19.86–$27.30 per hour, depending on experience
About the role
The Patient Access Representative (PAR) provides customer-service coverage in centralized registration areas such as front office, outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department locations of Asante and assumes responsibility for the successful financial outcomes of all patient services. The PAR thoroughly and accurately describes the various compliance and regulatory documents Asante is required to present to patients — while always maintaining patient relations, customer satisfaction, and Asante’s financial solvency.
Responsibilities
- Appointment scheduling
- Registration and insurance verification
- Telephone coverage and data entry
- Filing protected health information (PHI)
- Patient referrals and point-of-service collections
Requirements
Patient Access Rep 1
- Previous patient registration experience — OR — related customer service, administrative, and/or data entry experience
Patient Access Rep 2
- Minimum 1 year of experience with 2,080 fulfilled hours in a Patient Access Rep level 1 role or equivalent
Preferred for both levels
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) through the National Association of Healthcare Access Management
