Patient Access Representative - Orthopedic Surgery

About the role

The Patient Access Representative I completes tasks associated with registration, financial clearance, insurance verification, cashiering, and other assignments as directed by Revenue Cycle Management. This role performs duties within established quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Completes all assigned tasks and responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Responds promptly, professionally, and courteously to all customers’ needs.
• Cooperates and communicates effectively with all McLaren Health Care team members.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in Patient Access, Medical Billing, or Customer Service.
• Proven skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), Windows-based applications, and 10-key calculators.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Health Care, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).
• Certification in medical billing, coding, or equivalent job-specific certification.
• Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10.
• One year of experience in Revenue Cycle.

Schedule

Full-time: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 80 hours per pay period. No on-call, no weekends.
