Patient Access Representative | OBGYN | 40hrs/week

About the role

Sanford Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join their OBGYN team. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills, be detail-oriented, and have one year of work experience in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients & verify demographics
• Create, scan, and route documents or electronic forms
• Inform patients what the document is & capture signatures on necessary paperwork
• Establish and assign financial responsibility and assist with arrangements while adhering to appropriate policies and procedures
• Collections co-payments, pre-payments, and payments on account balances
• Work through the registration work queue to address and resolve registration errors or denied insurance claims

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Post-secondary education is helpful
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting
• Medical terminology is helpful
• Customer service skills are essential
• Six months' customer service experience is desired

Pay

$16.25 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule

Full time, 8 Hours - Day Shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm (no weekends or holidays)
