About the role
Baptist Silverleaf is hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join our Patient Access team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a part-time opportunity with a schedule of Saturday and Sunday, 6:45 pm - 7:15 am.
Responsibilities
- Registers patients accurately and efficiently
- Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
- Cross-trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
- Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
- Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
- Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
- Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
- Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
- Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Requirements
- 1-2 years of customer service experience (required)
- 1-2 years of healthcare experience (preferred)
- 1-2 years of insurance experience (preferred)
Qualifications
- High school diploma (required)
Schedule
Part-time, Saturday and Sunday, 6:45 pm - 7:15 am
