Responsibilities

  • Research, collect, and analyze information to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and lead through resolution.
  • Collaborate on performance improvement activities driven by program efficiency and patient experience outcomes.
  • Responsible for distribution of analytical reports.
  • Utilize multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports, and develop educational materials.
  • Incorporate knowledge of Trinity Health policies, practices, and processes to ensure quality, confidentiality, and safety.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of departmental processes and procedures and acquire new knowledge as needed.
  • Research and compile information to support ad-hoc operational projects and initiatives.
  • Synthesize and analyze data, providing detailed summaries including graphical presentations to illustrate trends and recommend practical solutions.
  • Leverage program and operational data to define and demonstrate progress, ROI, and impacts.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, and other policies to ensure adherence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA certification required within one (1) year of hire.

Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Medical terminology and knowledge of diagnostic and procedural coding.
  • Insurance verification with the ability to explain benefits and secure necessary authorizations.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Exposure: Occasional exposure to unpleasant conditions (sight, touch, sound, smell), fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, biohazards, mechanical/electrical hazards, chemicals, radiation, sharp objects, noise, infectious waste, diseases, and stressful situations.
  • Cognitive Abilities:
    • Frequent ability to follow tasks through to completion, understand complex ideas, remember multiple tasks over long periods, and work on concurrent tasks.
    • Continuous ability to read small print, hear sounds and speech patterns, give/receive instructions, and communicate verbally (in-person, phone, or other devices) with some background noise.
  • Physical Activities:
    • Continuous manual dexterity, use of computer/technology, and sitting with ability to adjust position.
    • Frequent ability to maintain a safe working environment, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and comply with Trinity Health’s Code of Conduct and policies.
    • Occasional ability to climb, kneel, crouch, operate foot controls, lift up to 30 pounds unassisted, and provide assistance in emergencies.
  • Work Environment:
    • Continuous work indoors under temperature-controlled and well-lit conditions (subject to travel requirements).
    • Occasional work outdoors or in variable environmental conditions (e.g., patient homes).
    • Frequent standing/walking with ability to adjust position, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, or pulling.
    • Occasional physical efforts such as transporting, moving, positioning, or ambulating patients (for Direct Healthcare roles).
