Patient Access Representative - Handford, Per-Diem, Day Shift

About the role

Adventist Health Handford is seeking a Patient Access Representative for a per-diem, day shift position. Located in the Sacramento metropolitan area, the Adventist Health corporate headquarters are based in Roseville, California. Responsibilities

• Interviews patients for all pertinent account information.
• Verifies all insurance and calculates and collects patient liability amounts.
• Ensures that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment.
• Answers any questions and explains policies clearly.
• Checks for physician orders and attaches them to appropriate patient record to ensure correct tests are received.
• Prints and collates any paperwork needed for each patient for distribution to unit/department.
• Escorts patients to their area or refers them to an available escort as needed.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent.
• PREFERRED: Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience.
