Patient Access Representative - Full-Time

About the Role

The Patient Access Representative Associate is responsible for greeting patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, and entering data into electronic medical records. They check in patients, assist with scheduling, verify insurance eligibility, and explain financial options. The role involves resolving registration and claim issues, screening for financial assistance programs, and providing excellent customer service via phone and in person. They may mentor staff and handle other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect demographic and insurance information
• Enter data into electronic medical records

• Provide excellent customer service via phone and in person

Requirements

• 6+ months of customer service experience in healthcare or similar settings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work early morning shifts
• Must be 18+ years old

Preferred Skills

• Revenue cycle knowledge
• General office experience
• Familiarity with Epic software

Physical Requirements

The role requires walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 10 lbs.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour.
