About the role
The Patient Access Representative manages hospital admissions and outpatient registrations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Collect patient information
- Verify insurance
- Facilitate collection of deductibles and co-pays
- Coordinate with hospital, clinic, and revenue cycle teams
- Perform reception duties such as answering multi-line phones and guiding patients and visitors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Cash-handling experience
Skills
- Healthcare registration experience
- Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization
- Understanding of medical terminology
Pay
Hourly wage ranges from $19.62 to $29.74, based on experience.
Schedule
The role is full-time (.1.0 FTE), primarily Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
