Patient Access Representative (FTE, Dayshift, OR)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely and accurate patient registration.
• Interview patients for all pertinent account information.
• Verify all insurance and calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
• Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment.
• Answer any questions and explain policies clearly.
• Check for physician orders and attach them to the appropriate patient record to ensure the correct test is received.
• Print and collate any paperwork needed for each patient for distribution to the unit/department.
• Escort patients to their area or refer patient to an available escort as needed.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Check for physician orders and attach them to patient medical record to ensure that patients are receiving appropriate tests.
• Choose correct health plan and accurately research to ensure accuracy when verifying insurance.
• Enter all authorization information accurately as needed.
• Follow guidelines and instructions from senior staff.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable (medical and religious exemptions may apply).
• Comply with E-Verify requirements.

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $18.04 to $27.04. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc.

Schedule

Full-time, Day Shift, 8-hour shifts.
