About the role

We're seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Service Representative. Your role will be vital in ensuring smooth patient and guest interactions, from initial greeting to final check-out.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests courteously via phone or in person
• Schedule appointments or admit patients to clinics or hospitals
• Verify and input accurate patient and guarantor information
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay amounts
• Balance cash drawers daily and prepare deposit slips
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional demeanor
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
• Adapt to different patient populations and maintain confidentiality

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Computer skills and dexterity for data entry
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and healthcare-specific software
• Clerical skills and knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits
• Ability to handle high-stress situations professionally

Qualifications

• Preferred certifications: CHAM, CHAA, Medical Assistant
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and analytical abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
