Patient Access Representative - Cardiology

About the Role

The Patient Access Representative I is responsible for completing tasks associated with registration, financial clearance, insurance verification, cashiering, and other assignments within Revenue Cycle Management. This role performs duties accurately and timely while adhering to quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned tasks and responsibilities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Respond promptly, professionally, and courteously to all customer needs.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with all team members.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Seek guidance and direction from senior representatives and supervisors on assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Minimum 6 months of experience in Patient Access, Medical Billing, or Customer Service (required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Windows-based applications, and 10-key calculators (required).
• For float positions, travel to or between clinics is required.
• Associate Degree in Health Care, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted.
• Certification in medical billing, coding, or equivalent job-specific certification (preferred).
• Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 (preferred).
• One year of experience in Revenue Cycle (preferred).

Schedule

• Full-time.
• Daily work times: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• 80 hours per pay period.
• No on-call requirement.
• No weekend shifts.
