Shift Description

• Registers or pre-registers patients by conducting the patient interview to obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information.
• Patient is processed in a professional and efficient manner to avoid delay of treatment.
• Obtains complete and accurate financial information for correct billing and to secure reimbursement.

Requirements

• High school diploma required;
• Two years of college or prescribed course of study in business or healthcare field preferred;
• Spanish speaking preferred;
• CPAR (HFMA Certification) or CHAA (NAHAM Certification) preferred.

Qualifications

• CPAR, CHAA or departmental certification must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
• One year experience in health care environment or customer relations required.
