Patient Access Representative

This part-time position operates Thursday and Friday from 5:30am to 6pm in the Outpatient Diagnostic Department.

Responsibilities

• Conduct professional patient interviews to obtain demographic, financial, and biographical information.
• Understand insurance terminology and obtain information to appropriately bill payors.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and confirm benefits eligibility.
• Gather statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Complete payment transactions using proper negotiating techniques to collect money owed by patients and guarantors.
• Make referrals to appropriate financial resources such as payment plans and lines of credit.
• Deliver quality performance and service excellence.

Requirements

• 1 year of applicable experience.
• Strong computer skills.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.

Schedule

Part-time, Thursday and Friday, 5:30am–6pm.
