About the role
Provides front desk and administrative assistance to support daily clinic operations, including filing, telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, registration, and greeting patients and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors courteously, treat them with discretion.
- Answer calls, respond to inquiries, direct callers appropriately.
- Prepare patient charts, schedule and verify appointments, update patient records accurately, and notify patients of appointments or changes.
- Enter confidential health and financial information, ensuring privacy laws are followed.
- Process payments, apply adjustments, and reconcile daily cash reports.
- Verify insurance eligibility, enter treatment authorizations, and organize clinic documents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1-3 years of related experience; healthcare experience and medical terminology knowledge preferred.
- Strong communication, listening, and confidentiality skills.
- Bilingual ability, especially in Spanish, is desirable.
- Ability to remain calm under stress and adapt to workload changes.
Schedule
Full-time role with shifts ranging from early morning to late afternoon/evening hours.
