About the Role

Willamette Valley Medical Center, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, is dedicated to prioritizing employee well-being to deliver exceptional patient care. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience by efficiently managing the admitting process and providing superior service.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and accurately enters patient demographic, insurance, and financial information into the registration system.
  • Distributes and explains forms, documents, and educational materials to patients and families.
  • Verifies insurance benefits and obtains necessary precertifications/authorizations.
  • Determines and collects required payments (e.g., co-pays, deductibles) or refers to financial counseling.
  • Communicates professionally in-person and by phone, providing clear instructions and excellent customer service.
  • Protects patient privacy and confidentiality in all registration activities.
  • Participates in performance improvement and required education.
  • Supports department operations by working alternate shifts/areas as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
