Department: Patient Access Services (Emergency Dept.). Location: Englewood, NJ. Status: Full‑time.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and/or patients' representatives to obtain necessary personal, demographic, and financial information and identification.
• Perform computer data entry and other record‑keeping tasks related to patient registration within registration areas.
• Exhibit Service Excellence Standards at all times and incorporate them into all interactions.
• Perform duties according to well‑defined policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with professional appearance.
• Ability to function independently.
• Clerical, data entry, and typing skills including filing and record keeping.
• One or more years of registration or related clerical/health care experience is preferred when accompanied by a HS diploma or equivalent.
• Some knowledge of computer systems.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with frequent changes in priorities.
• Flexibility and ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
