About the role
Lifepoint Health is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator II to support patients and community members interfacing with our facilities. This position is based in-person at Sovah Health - Danville.
Responsibilities
- Ensures timely and accurate entry of demographic, billing, and clinical information into the registration system.
- Distributes forms, documents, and educational materials to patients and/or family members.
- Verifies insurance benefits and validates authorizations/pre-certifications.
- Completes estimations, reviews upfront collections process, processes payments, establishes payment arrangements, and reviews patient propensity to pay, escalating issues as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in prior authorization or insurance verification preferred.
- One to two years of customer service and/or health care experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Knowledge of insurance policies and procedures.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Pay
$15.27 - $18.86 hourly.
Schedule
Variable shifts and rotating weekends.
