Outpatient Surgery Coordinator Role: Responsible for facilitating patient admission and registration, verifying insurance benefits, and collecting payments. Acts as the first point of contact, ensuring a professional and compassionate experience for patients and families. Key Responsibilities Complete patient registration by collecting demographics and verifying insurance eligibilityRespond to patient inquiries with professionalism and respectObtain insurance verification and process benefitsCollect co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance at the point of serviceAccurately enter data into hospital systems and scan documentsOrganize patient appointments and referralsRegister patients for various procedures and work with electronic medical recordsGenerate and review patient data reports, following up on discrepanciesPerform additional duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GEDOver 1 year of customer service experienceProficiency with Microsoft OfficeStrong communication and organizational skillsReliable transportation and valid US driver’s license Preferred Qualifications Experience in hospital registration or medical settingsKnowledge of insurance policies, authorizations, and referralsFamiliarity with medical terminology, ICD10, CPT codesBilingual in English and SpanishExperience with Google products and facility pricing
