About the role
The Patient Access Coordinator (PAC) position at our dental office aims to enhance patient access to healthcare services. This role involves providing personalized telephone contacts, confirming appointments, and handling clerical tasks. Additionally, the PAC assists in facilitating patient access, educating them about policies and programs, and ensuring smooth and timely processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Utilize professional telephone techniques and proficiency with telephone equipment.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Make and confirm appointments.
- Communicate patient needs to clinical assistants and/or providers.
- Discuss treatment plans and future appointments with patients.
- Be proficient in computerized data entry.
- Be proficient in electronic health records and cover front desk duties when needed.
- Explain office policies, procedures, and programs to patients.
- Aid patients in gathering necessary data and assure form completeness.
- Facilitate patient referrals and verify coverage with patients' payer sources.
- Pass state required background check and pre-hire drug test.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- No license required.
- One year experience as a front desk administrative assistant preferred.

Benefits
Starting salary is $21.00 per hour, with the potential to increase to $22.00 per hour within 6-9 months. Benefits include full-time employment with benefits.
Pay
The starting wage is $21.00 per hour, with the possibility to increase to $22.00 per hour after a 6-9 month period.
Schedule
The schedule is full-time, working 40 hours per week.
