Position Details
The candidates would join another Pathologist and Pathologists’ Assistant who are colleagues of a collegial group of seven pathologists and two Pathologists’ Assistants in a nearby city, Davenport, Iowa. The pathologists oversee and provide medical directorship for two community hospitals, a large multispecialty medical clinic, and a rural access hospital in a nearby community. The caseload includes approximately 14,000 surgical cases (mixture of biopsies and resections), 2000 non-GYN cytology cases, 8000 GYN cytology cases, and rare autopsies. Radiologic guided fine-needle aspirations and EBUS cases are attended for adequacy/rapid interpretation.
Requirements
- Must be BC/BE.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills and value good relationships with clinical colleagues.
- A willingness to participate in the clinical lab management and hospital committees including tumor board.

Qualifications
No specific subspecialty training is required; however, cytopathology training would be looked upon favorably. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
