Job Summary
Base starting salary: $300k (negotiable for those with greater experience)
Responsibilities
- Interpreting Surgical and Cytology specimens daily
- Grossing of Specimens (histologists perform grossing of small specimens)
- Frozen Section Procedures
- Immunohistochemistry/Special Stains
- Tumor Board/Cancer Center Committee participation
- Medical Directorship for Site Location Labs
- Involvement in/and performing CAP Inspections
Requirements
- CBC/BE in AP/CP and need a CA Medical License
- New graduates are also encouraged to apply
- Surgicals: 25-50 cases/day (two or occasionally three times per week)
- Hospital Coverage: Frozens, IntraOp Consults, Labs & Cytologies (two to three times per week)
- Specimens include: biopsies, excision, complex resections, head and neck, GI, GU, Skin, Lung, Breast, OB/GYN, Bone Marrow, Lymph Nodes, Prostate, Bone and Soft Tissue, etc...
