Pathologist Assistant Supervisor

Essential Key Responsibilities

  • Aids in specimen accession to ensure quality.
  • Collects and prepares biological specimens for analysis and performs special procedures.
  • Photographs and documents pertinent gross and microscopic specimens.
  • Maintains and updates surgical pathology protocols and reports.
  • Participates in Quality Management Committee to improve diagnostic accuracy.
  • Assists in troubleshooting and correcting errors in pathology reports.
  • Maintains department staffing schedules to ensure continuous function.
  • Develops and conducts training programs to enhance staff qualifications.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and recommends necessary disciplinary actions.

Education/Licensure/Certification

  • Bachelor in Laboratory Science.
  • Completion of a Pathologists Assistant program accredited by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience as a Pathologists’ Assistant.

Schedule

Full-time: 40 Weekly Hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
