Patent Litigation Partner

About the role

A leading Am Law firm is looking to further strengthen its nationally recognized Intellectual Property practice in Boston through the addition of an established Patent Litigation Partner with a significant portable practice. This is a senior lateral opportunity for a partner seeking a sophisticated national platform with the depth, resources and complementary capabilities to support complex patent litigation and the continued growth of an established client base.

Responsibilities

• Originate and lead significant patent disputes
• Originate, retain and expand sophisticated client engagements
• Lead high-value matters

Qualifications

• Approximately $1.5M+ in portable business
• Strong track record of originating and leading significant patent disputes
• Established institutional client relationships
• Demonstrable ability to originate, retain and expand sophisticated client engagements
• Excellent academic credentials
• Appropriate bar admission

Preferred background

• Practices involving semiconductors, electronics, mechanical and electrical engineering, computer hardware, telecommunications and other complex technologies
• Technical or engineering background strongly preferred, particularly in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering or a related discipline
• Experience representing leading technology, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing or other innovation-driven businesses highly desirable
