About the Role

A Hemodialysis Technician provides safe and effective dialysis therapy as part of the healthcare team, under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate dialysis machines
• Monitor patients during treatment
• Evaluate vascular access
• Administer dialysis treatments
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of equipment and treatment areas
• Assist in patient education regarding dialysis care
• Document treatments and patient responses
• Perform quality improvement activities
• Support infection control practices
• Participate in training staff on dialysis procedures
• Manage supplies and inventory
• Support transitional care for new patients

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• State or CMS certification as a Hemodialysis Technician
• Prior patient care experience

Skills

• Technical proficiency with dialysis equipment
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Physical ability to lift patients and handle equipment
